Harry Kane Extends Bayern Munich Contract Until 2029 After Ballon d’Or Triumph
England captain Harry Kane has committed his future to Bayern Munich after signing a contract extension that will keep him at the German club until June 2029.
The 33-year-old striker announced the development on Thursday, November 5, expressing excitement about continuing his career with the Bundesliga champions.
In a message shared on his social media account, Kane wrote: “So proud to have signed a contract extension with this incredible club. I couldn’t be happier here and I’m more motivated than ever to continue breaking records and winning trophies with this team. Let’s go!”
Bayern Munich also confirmed the agreement, describing the extension as an important commitment from the club’s leading forward, who has established himself as one of the most influential players in European football.
Since joining Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023, Kane has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances, becoming a central figure in the club’s domestic success.
His achievements in Germany include two Bundesliga titles, the German Cup and two Franz Beckenbauer Supercups. He has also finished as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer in each of his first three seasons with the club.
The contract extension comes shortly after Kane reached another major milestone in his career by winning the 2026 Ballon d’Or, becoming the first Englishman in 25 years to receive the prestigious individual award.
He also won the European Golden Shoe twice and was named Germany’s Footballer of the Year in 2026.
Bayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen welcomed the development, describing Kane’s decision to remain as a commitment to the club and its ambitions.
The German champions are expected to rely heavily on the England international as they continue their pursuit of domestic and European honours under manager Vincent Kompany.
Kane’s new deal also ends speculation about his future, with reports previously linking him with a possible return to English football.
Having found success and stability in Germany after leaving Tottenham, the striker will now look to extend his remarkable goalscoring record and add more major trophies to his collection.
