Abba Atiku Abubakar, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has unveiled a major mobilisation plan for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, promising to deliver two million votes and his father’s home state of Adamawa to the ruling party in 2027.

Abba, who is a Commissioner in Adamawa State and founder of the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation, announced the plan on Friday at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja. He said his decision to support Tinubu was a personal political conviction made in his own capacity, irrespective of his family ties.

“My decision to establish and lead the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation is a deliberate political choice, one I have made in my personal capacity and with a firm belief in the direction we have chosen to pursue,” he said. “Political conviction is a matter of personal judgement, conscience and the freedom of every individual to make independent choices.”

The organisation’s chairman outlined a three-pronged strategy: a two-million-man mobilisation march across the six geopolitical zones beginning in Abuja, the deployment of 10 luxury buses to ease transportation starting in the FCT, and a major mobilisation exercise in Rivers State next week.

He said the group is working in alignment with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to secure victory for Tinubu in both the FCT and Rivers State.

Asked directly whether he could deliver Adamawa, which his father won in 2023, Abba was emphatic. “Yes, yes, yes. We are going to deliver Adamawa State,” he said. “2023 was different. In 2027, Adamawa is for Tinubu. I will personally lead the campaign to make sure we deliver the state.”

He cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, road infrastructure investments, increased FAAC allocations to states, and the N70,000 transportation support for workers as reasons for his support, while acknowledging that the reforms have brought difficult adjustments for Nigerians.

Abba formally joined the APC in January 2026 and dissolved his former Haske Atiku Organisation, renaming it Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation.

His father, Atiku Abubakar, is the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress for the 2027 election and has been a vocal critic of Tinubu’s policies.
