The Arewa Christians for Tinubu 2027 (ACT-2027) has unveiled plans to mobilise Christian communities across Northern Nigeria for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign, while urging the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to create more opportunities for youth empowerment and political inclusion.

The group’s National Coordinator, Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako, said its mobilisation strategy would combine grassroots political engagement, prayer programmes, youth integration and public enlightenment on the policies and achievements of the Tinubu administration.

Ngbako, who is also a serving Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), made the remarks while commending Wike for his infrastructure development initiatives in Abuja, particularly the recently commissioned Dunamis pedestrian bridge.

He described the project as an example of responsive leadership and effective cooperation between government and private organisations, noting that the minister’s intervention helped resolve an application that had reportedly remained unattended since 2018.

According to him, Wike’s approval of the project demonstrated his willingness to respond to issues affecting residents and address infrastructure gaps in the nation’s capital.

Ngbako said Tinubu made the right choice in appointing Wike as FCT minister, adding that the minister’s infrastructure projects had contributed significantly to the administration’s visibility in Abuja.

However, he urged Wike not to limit his development agenda to physical infrastructure, but to extend it to political inclusion, youth empowerment and opportunities for qualified stakeholders within the FCT.

He argued that young people and competent political actors should be given greater access to appointments and empowerment initiatives to enable them to contribute meaningfully to governance and community development.

ACT-2027 Targets Northern Christian Communities

As part of its political mobilisation efforts, Ngbako announced plans for zonal prayer breakfasts in different parts of Northern Nigeria in support of Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

He said the programme would begin in the North-West on November 14, move to Bauchi, and subsequently hold in Jos or Lafia before a grand finale in Abuja.

The initiative, according to him, would provide an opportunity for Christians to pray for national peace, unity, security in the North and the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

He invited Christian leaders, women’s organisations, youth groups and other supporters of the President to participate in the activities.

Ngbako also identified the National Gbagyi Youth Integration Festival (National GbagyiFe) for Tinubu Renewed Hope 2027, the FCT Abuja Youth Participation Action Community (FAYPAC 2027) and the Gbagyi Youth Association, FCT Abuja, as platforms through which the group intends to encourage political participation.

He said the National GbagyiFe initiative would cover five states and the FCT, namely Niger, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Kogi and Abuja.

According to him, the platforms are intended to strengthen youth integration, encourage grassroots participation and create awareness of government programmes ahead of the 2027 elections.

Group Plans December Launch of Tinubu Economic Book

Beyond political mobilisation, Ngbako disclosed that he is chairing the Editorial Board of a forthcoming book titled Meet President Tinubu and His 52 Managers of Economy.

The publication, expected to be launched in Abuja in December, will examine the economic reforms and activities of 52 key officials and institutions involved in managing the Nigerian economy.

Institutions expected to feature include the Central Bank of Nigeria, Nigeria Revenue Service, Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission and Nigerian National Petroleum Company, alongside relevant ministers and other economic managers.

Ngbako said the publication would provide empirical information about the administration’s economic policies and the responsibilities of officials implementing the reforms.

He added that the project was conceived to improve public understanding of government policies, encourage informed engagement and address misinformation surrounding the country’s economic reforms.

He disclosed that key stakeholders, including Wike, were being invited to support and promote the publication.

Wike Recalls Seven-Year Delay in Dunamis Bridge Approval

Meanwhile, Wike, speaking at the commissioning of the Dunamis pedestrian bridge, praised the leadership of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, particularly the Enenche family, for investing in infrastructure aimed at improving public safety.

The minister revealed that the application for the bridge was initially submitted in 2018 but was not approved until February 2026, when it was brought to his attention.

He said the approval was granted within weeks of receiving the request.

“The application was made in 2018. It was in February 2026 when I was reminded. In less than a month you received approval. It means there is a government,” Wike said.

He described the project as an important example of corporate social responsibility, stressing that government alone could not provide all the infrastructure and services required by residents.

The minister also approved a request for the bridge to be roofed and made additional commitments towards improving the facility.

He urged pedestrians to use the bridge, noting that dedicated pedestrian infrastructure was necessary to reduce avoidable accidents and protect lives.

Formally commissioning the facility, Wike said: “As it has been constructed by Dunamis as its social responsibility as approved by me, I hereby commission this in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.”

The commissioning comes amid renewed calls for stronger partnerships between government and private organisations in addressing infrastructure deficiencies and improving public welfare in the FCT.
