APC Fixes Screening Dates for Senate, Reps Aspirants Ahead of Primaries

The ruling All Progressives Congress has announced the screening timetable and venues for aspirants seeking Senate and House of Representatives tickets ahead of its forthcoming primaries.

In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, disclosed that the screening exercise for Senate aspirants will hold on May 9 and May 10, 2026.

According to the statement, the exercise will take place at the Abuja Continental Hotel and will commence at 10:00 a.m. on both days.

The party also stated that aspirants contesting for seats in the House of Representatives would undergo screening on the same dates at Treasures Suites and Conferences, with proceedings also scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. daily.

The APC urged all aspirants to arrive promptly for the exercise and ensure they come with all necessary credentials and supporting documents to enable a seamless screening process.

The announcement comes as political parties intensify preparations for the next round of electoral contests and internal party primaries across the country.
