The Nigeria Police Force has appointed Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Abdullahi Isa as the new Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Utako Police Division in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), following his elevation from Deputy Commissioner of Operations (DCO 1) in the same division.

The appointment places CSP Isa at the helm of one of Abuja’s busiest police divisions, where effective crime prevention, rapid response to incidents and sustained public confidence remain key priorities.

Having served in the division as DCO 1, Isa is expected to leverage his operational experience and familiarity with the area’s security landscape to strengthen community policing and improve the division’s overall effectiveness.

His leadership is also expected to enhance collaboration with residents, traders, transport operators and community leaders through proactive engagement aimed at identifying and addressing security concerns before they escalate.

Known for maintaining cordial working relations with the media, CSP Isa has earned recognition for promoting open communication and improving public awareness of policing activities.

Observers believe this approach will further enhance transparency, facilitate timely dissemination of information and strengthen trust between the police and members of the public.

With his experience and understanding of the operational dynamics of the Utako Division, CSP Isa is expected to provide steady leadership while advancing efforts to maintain peace, public order and security across the division’s jurisdiction.
