Country music icon Dolly Parton has officially cancelled her planned Las Vegas residency, citing ongoing health issues that she says are being treated and improving, but still prevent her from returning to the stage.

According to several international reports, the 80-year-old singer announced the decision in a video message to fans, explaining that while she is responding well to medication and medical care, the side effects have made it difficult for her to perform live. She described feeling “swimmy headed,” adding that she is not yet physically ready for the demands of a full stage production.

Parton assured fans that her condition is not life-threatening, emphasizing that “everything I have is treatable.” She also said she remains optimistic about recovery, noting steady improvement and expressing gratitude for continued support.

The residency, which was initially scheduled for December 2025 before being postponed to 2026, would have marked one of her major returns to Las Vegas in years. Its cancellation has disappointed fans, but Parton stressed that her decision was based on medical advice and the need for proper healing time.

Despite stepping back from live performances for now, she remains active in other projects, including her music catalog, business ventures, and upcoming stage productions.

Health details remain private, though reports indicate she has been dealing with ongoing medical treatment over the past year.
