FCT MINISTER NYESOM WIKE DISMISSES COLLAPSE RUMORS, BLAMES POLITICAL OPPONENTS
Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has dismissed social media reports claiming he collapsed last week, labeling the claims as politically motivated fabrications. Wike addressed the rumors on Monday after inspecting four ongoing projects in the territory, including the International Conference Centre (ICC).

He described the reports as “the handiwork of persons trying to score cheap political points,” asserting that the rumors were spread by political enemies. Wike linked the speculation to the recent visit of George Nwaeke, former Rivers State Head of Service, to Abuja, where he reportedly shared undisclosed information about the suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

“Nobody is immuned from death, but everyone will die at their appointed time,” Wike stated, addressing the false claims about his health. He concluded with a defiant message to critics, saying, “I will live to sign the condolence letters of all those that wish me dead.”
The minister did not provide further details on the nature of Nwaeke’s revelations but emphasized that the timing of the rumors was intentional and aimed at undermining his political standing.
