Fire Destroys Electronics Worth Hundreds of Millions in Lokoja

Goods estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of naira have been destroyed after a fire engulfed a major electronics store in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

The fire, which had raged for more than an hour as of the time of filing this report, triggered frantic efforts to salvage goods from the building.

The cause of the outbreak remained unknown, while firefighters were working to contain the blaze and prevent further damage.

No casualties had been reported as of the time of filing this report.

Security personnel were also deployed to the scene to maintain order and prevent suspected criminals from looting goods amid the emergency.

The extent of the damage and the circumstances surrounding the incident were yet to be officially established.
