PSG Edge Bayern to Reach Champions League Final Against Arsenal
Paris Saint-Germain are one win away from retaining the UEFA Champions League title after overcoming Bayern Munich in a dramatic semi-final clash to set up a final showdown with Arsenal.
The French champions secured their place in the final following a tense 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich in Germany, completing a 6-5 aggregate victory over the two legs.
PSG entered the second leg with a slim advantage from the thrilling first encounter in Paris and struck early through Ousmane Dembele, whose third-minute goal silenced the Allianz Arena crowd and extended the visitors’ aggregate lead.
Bayern Munich pushed relentlessly in search of a comeback, creating several opportunities throughout the match. England captain Harry Kane eventually found the net deep into stoppage time, but the late equaliser came too late to prevent elimination.
PSG manager Luis Enrique praised his side’s resilience after surviving Bayern’s late pressure to reach a second consecutive Champions League final. The French side are now aiming to become the first club since Real Madrid to successfully defend the trophy in the modern era.
Arsenal booked their own place in the final after defeating Atletico Madrid in the other semi-final, returning to Europe’s biggest club match for the first time in two decades.
The final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal F.C. is scheduled to take place in Budapest on May 30, with PSG seeking back-to-back European crowns while Arsenal chase a historic first Champions League title.
