Nigeria’s Super Eagles will kick off their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title defense against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars on December 23, according to the fixtures released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The three-time African champions will open their Group B campaign against Tanzania, followed by a clash against Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles on December 27, and Uganda on December 30.

Nigeria will be hoping for a strong start as they seek a record-equalling fourth continental title, having last lifted the AFCON trophy in 2013.

The Group B fixtures will be played across two venues in Morocco, with specific stadiums to be confirmed in the coming days.

The 2025 AFCON promises thrilling encounters as top nations battle for African supremacy, and the Super Eagles are determined to make a deep run in pursuit of continental glory under their new technical leadership.
