Police Launch Manhunt After Gunmen Abduct Six Students in Nasarawa State
The Nigeria Police Force in Nasarawa State has launched a manhunt for gunmen who abducted six students from an off-campus lodge in Gudi, Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.

The students were reportedly kidnapped on Tuesday night after armed men invaded a student residence located in Anguwar Ninzo, on the outskirts of Gudi community.
Witnesses said the attackers stormed the lodge and forcefully whisked away several occupants to an unknown destination, causing panic among residents and students in the area.
Confirming the incident, the Nasarawa State Police Command disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, Shettima Jauro-Mohammed, visited the scene for an on-the-spot assessment following the attack.
According to the command, a joint security operation involving police tactical teams and other security agencies has been launched to track the abductors and ensure the safe rescue of the victims.
The police commissioner assured residents that security operatives were intensifying efforts to apprehend those behind the abduction and restore calm in the area.
The latest incident adds to growing concerns over insecurity and kidnapping activities affecting parts of Nasarawa State and neighbouring North-Central communities.
Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and provide useful information that could assist ongoing rescue operations.
