Mikel Arteta Wins Premier League Manager of the Season After Historic Title Triumph
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been crowned the Premier League Manager of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign following his leadership in guiding the club to their first league title in 22 years.
The award, confirmed at the League Managers Association (LMA) annual honours, recognises Arteta’s outstanding season in which Arsenal finished top of the Premier League after a tightly contested title race involving Manchester City and other top contenders.

Arteta’s achievement marks a major milestone in his managerial career, capping off years of rebuilding at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal’s title success also ended a two-decade wait for the league crown, with the team showing consistency, tactical discipline, and strong squad depth throughout the campaign.
The Spanish coach was selected ahead of several high-profile nominees, including Pep Guardiola, Andoni Iraola, Keith Andrews, and Manchester United’s Michael Carrick.

Arteta’s recognition comes after a season in which Arsenal dominated large stretches of the league, maintaining their position at the top for most of the campaign and eventually sealing the title with a game to spare.
The award further strengthens Arteta’s growing reputation as one of Europe’s elite managers, having previously guided Arsenal through multiple top-four finishes before finally delivering silverware in the Premier League.
