Tinubu Reconvenes FEC After Two-Month Break, Swears In New RMAFC Commissioners

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday reconvened the Federal Executive Council (FEC), presiding over its first meeting in two months at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Ahead of the council meeting, the President swore in two newly appointed Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

The appointees are Amina Gamawa, who represents Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Mukhtar, representing Kaduna State.

Speaking before the commencement of the meeting, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, said the day’s agenda also included the swearing-in of newly appointed Federal Commissioners of the National Population Commission (NPC).

Vice President Kashim Shettima, ministers, and other senior government officials were present at the meeting.

Monday’s session marks the first meeting of the Federal Executive Council since it last convened two months ago, with deliberations expected to focus on key policy and administrative matters before the Federal Government.
