The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Prof. Nentawe Yiltwada, the current Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, as the new National Chairman of the party. The appointment follows the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje on June 27.

The nomination was made by Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, and was seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajudeen Abbas. Yiltwada’s appointment was confirmed during an ongoing NEC meeting at the Presidential Villa.

This leadership change marks a significant shift in the party’s hierarchy as it prepares for upcoming political challenges. As the new National Chairman, Prof. Yiltwada will lead the APC in its efforts to strengthen its presence and influence in the country.

The appointment is expected to bring new dynamics to the party, and stakeholders are eagerly watching to see how Yiltwada will steer the party in the coming months. With his wealth of experience as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Yiltwada is well-positioned to lead the APC in its quest for relevance and success.
