Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, is expected to deliver the keynote address at the 2026 edition of the People’s Security Monitor Conference, where he will also present a book examining President Bola Tinubu’s anti-insecurity efforts.

The conference, scheduled to bring together security experts, policymakers, civil society groups and stakeholders from across the country, will focus on strategies for tackling insecurity and strengthening national stability.

According to organisers, the event will provide a platform for discussions on Nigeria’s evolving security challenges, including terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and communal violence, while also reviewing ongoing government interventions.

A major highlight of the conference will be the presentation of a book detailing the Tinubu administration’s security policies and efforts aimed at combating insecurity across different parts of the country.

Christopher Musa is expected to use the occasion to outline the military’s achievements, ongoing operations and future plans for addressing security threats facing the nation.

Security analysts and participants at the event are also expected to assess the impact of current security reforms and explore ways of improving collaboration between the armed forces, intelligence agencies and local communities.

The organisers said the conference would feature panel discussions, policy sessions and stakeholder engagements focused on sustainable peace, intelligence sharing and national security development.

The People’s Security Monitor Conference has grown into one of the platforms for conversations on security policy and governance in Nigeria, attracting participation from government officials, members of the armed forces, academics and development partners.
