Delta Pilgrims Seek Divine Guidance for Tinubu, Oborevwori During Hajj
Muslim pilgrims from Delta State currently performing the 2026 Hajj exercise in the Holy Land have offered special prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, seeking divine guidance, protection, and wisdom for the two leaders as Nigeria continues to face economic and governance challenges.
The pilgrims, drawn from various local government areas of Delta State, were said to have gathered in Makkah and other holy sites to pray for national unity, peace, and progress, while also remembering leaders at both federal and state levels.
According to accounts from the delegation, the prayers specifically included requests for Allah’s guidance for President Tinubu in steering the affairs of the country, as well as continued wisdom and success for Governor Oborevwori in managing the affairs of Delta State.
The religious exercise was also used to pray for stability across Nigeria, improved security, and better living conditions for citizens, with pilgrims emphasizing the importance of spiritual intervention in leadership and governance.
Delta State continues to record significant participation in the annual pilgrimage, with government-supported contingents joining other Nigerian Muslims in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj.
The prayers come at a time when political attention is gradually building toward the 2027 general elections, with religious and civic groups increasingly engaging in intercessory prayers for national leaders and aspirants.
