Donald Trump Arrives in Beijing Ahead of Crucial Summit With Xi

US President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday for a high-stakes summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping, as both leaders prepare to discuss some of the world’s most pressing geopolitical and economic issues.

The two-day visit marks Trump’s first trip to China since returning to office and the first visit by a sitting US president to Beijing in nearly a decade. Chinese officials rolled out an elaborate state welcome for the American leader upon his arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport.
