FG APPROVES N13BN COMPENSATION FOR LAGOS-OGUN TRANSMISSION PROJECT
The Federal Government has approved the sum of N13 billion as compensation for right-of-way on the Lagos-Ogun Industrial Transmission Project. Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, disclosed this at the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

According to Adelabu, the project, valued at $238 million, is being financed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He explained that the project will improve electricity supply to industries, enhance competitiveness, and support the “Renewed Hope” agenda.

The minister’s disclosure highlights the government’s efforts to boost the country’s power infrastructure and promote industrial growth. With the compensation package in place, the project is expected to move forward, bringing much-needed relief to industries in the region.
