Harry and Meghan Reportedly Set to Bring Archie and Lilibet to UK for First Time in Four Years
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly planning to bring their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the United Kingdom next month, marking what would be the children’s first visit to Britain in four years.
According to reports from British media, the trip is expected to coincide with events promoting the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, a sporting competition for wounded and injured military personnel founded by Prince Harry in 2014.
If the visit goes ahead as planned, it would be the first time Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, have returned to Britain since June 2022, when the family attended celebrations for the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
The reported visit has fueled speculation about a possible reunion between the Sussex family and King Charles III. The King has had limited opportunities to spend time with his grandchildren since Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties and relocated to California in 2020. Reports suggest Harry is keen for his children to reconnect with their grandfather as relations within the royal family gradually improve.
However, security remains a major issue surrounding any return to Britain. Harry has repeatedly voiced concerns about the safety of his family while visiting the UK and recently lost a legal challenge seeking the restoration of automatic police protection during visits to the country. Despite that setback, reports indicate that discussions over security arrangements are continuing ahead of the proposed trip.
Relations between Harry and other senior royals, particularly his brother Prince William, are still believed to be strained following the publication of Harry’s memoir Spare and a series of high-profile interviews. While reports suggest Harry hopes to continue rebuilding family ties, there has been no official confirmation of any meetings with senior members of the royal family.
Neither the Sussexes’ representatives nor Buckingham Palace have publicly commented on the reported plans. The visit, if confirmed, would represent a significant moment in the ongoing efforts to repair relations between Harry and the royal family while allowing Archie and Lilibet to reconnect with their British heritage.
