North Korea Condemned U.S. and Israeli Military Strikes on Iran

North Korea has issued a strong condemnation of the joint military operation conducted by the United States and Israel against Iran, denouncing the strikes as illegal aggression and a violation of Iran’s sovereignty.

In a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Pyongyang’s foreign ministry described the coordinated offensive as “gangster-like conduct” and a “thoroughly unlawful act of aggression.” The statement emphasized that Washington and Tel Aviv’s actions violated international law and national sovereignty and could never be justified under any circumstances.

North Korean state media further accused the United States of pursuing hegemonic ambitions and abusing military power to achieve its goals in the Middle East rhetoric that reflects Pyongyang’s longstanding distrust of the U.S. foreign policy.

The denunciation comes amid widespread international reactions to the strikes, which reportedly hit Tehran and killed Iran’s Supreme Leader, triggering Iranian retaliatory missile attacks and prompting emergency meetings at the United Nations Security Council.

While many nations have voiced concern about regional escalation, North Korea’s statement is notable for its stark language, labelling the U.S. and Israeli operation as a “war of aggression” and urging responsible nations to work toward restoring peace and stability in the Middle East.
