Oluremi Tinubu To Visit Edo October 15, Focus On Women, Healthcare, Education

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is scheduled to visit Edo State on October 15 as part of engagements focused on women, children and vulnerable Nigerians.

The visit is expected to highlight women’s economic empowerment, education, healthcare and social welfare, with programmes of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) expected to feature prominently.

Oluremi Tinubu, who chairs the RHI, has overseen interventions targeting women, children, youths and other vulnerable groups across the country.

During the proposed visit to Edo, the First Lady is expected to meet state government officials, women’s groups, traditional rulers and community leaders as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration on social intervention programmes.

The Edo State Government has commenced preparations for the visit, which is expected to provide an avenue for discussions on initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and economic opportunities of women and other vulnerable residents.

The First Lady had previously been represented at women focused programmes in Edo, including a 2025 empowerment event in Benin City, where she advocated greater economic empowerment and increased participation of women in governance.

The October 15 engagement is expected to provide another platform for the Renewed Hope Initiative to expand its interventions in the state.
