Remi Tinubu Launches Nationwide Grassroots Campaign Group, Highlights Gains of Renewed Hope Agenda

Nigeria’s First Lady, , has inaugurated the Tinubu Torchbearers (TTB), a nationwide grassroots mobilisation platform aimed at promoting the policies of the Federal Government and galvanising support for President ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony in Abuja, Mrs. Tinubu said the administration was recording significant progress across key sectors, including agriculture, healthcare, infrastructure development, job creation and support for local industries under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

She noted that while government policies and programmes are designed to improve the lives of citizens, sustainable development can only be achieved through active public participation and collective responsibility.

According to the First Lady, the newly inaugurated platform will serve as a bridge between government and the people by taking information about ongoing reforms directly to communities across the country.

She said the group would help deepen public understanding of government initiatives, encourage civic participation and strengthen national unity through grassroots engagement.

Mrs. Tinubu stressed that citizens have a critical role to play in the nation’s development, adding that the success of government programmes depends largely on the support and cooperation of Nigerians.

The Tinubu Torchbearers is designed as a nationwide mobilisation structure to promote awareness of the administration’s policies and achievements while building support for the President’s vision for the country.

Speaking at the event, the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), , said the organisation has already established structures in all 774 local government areas of the federation.

She explained that the extensive network would be deployed to engage communities, mobilise citizens and ensure that information about government programmes reaches the grassroots.

Idele expressed confidence that the initiative would strengthen citizen engagement and provide a platform for greater participation in national development efforts.

The inauguration drew supporters, party stakeholders and members of the mobilisation platform, who pledged their commitment to advancing the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda across the country.
