A former Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Adamu Shettima Yuguda Dibal, has led a group of constituents to purchase the nomination form for Hon. Mukhtar Aliyu Betara in preparation for the upcoming elections. The gesture, undertaken on behalf of supporters of the lawmaker, is widely viewed as a strong show of grassroots trust and approval of Hon. Betara’s record and effectiveness at the National Assembly.

Speaking at the event, Dibal praised Hon. Betara as a dedicated public servant whose legislative achievements and focus on constituency development have won him broad acceptance. He stated that the decision by constituents to buy the nomination form reflects a shared desire for continued quality representation.

Mohammed Ize Mamman, Chairman of Biu Forum, revealed that the delegation included members from various wards and interest groups, all of whom expressed appreciation for the lawmaker’s projects and interventions, especially in infrastructure, education, and social welfare. He added that Hon. Betara’s openness and attentiveness to the people’s needs are major reasons constituents are rallying behind his bid for re-election.

In response, Amb. Mustapha Betara Aliu called the development a major boost to the lawmaker’s political profile, noting that early mobilisation often points to strong electoral support. He thanked the constituents for their backing and encouraged them to keep up the momentum to secure victory at the polls.

Hon. Betara is anticipated to formally acknowledge the gesture in the coming days, as consultations and mobilisation efforts continue throughout the constituency. The purchase of the nomination form represents a key step ahead of the party primaries, with stakeholders expressing confidence in a seamless process and a successful return for the lawmaker.
