Osun 2026: APC Deputy Gov Candidate Vows ‘Otise’se’ Governance, Promises Reality Administration
The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Engr. Benjamin Kayode Adereti, has assured that the incoming government of the All Progressives Congress, under the leadership of his principal, will usher in a “reality government” that moves beyond the performance of past APC administrations in the state.
Engr. Adereti made this declaration during his appearance as a guest on the Osun NUJ Guest Platform, where he outlined a comprehensive agenda focused on worker welfare, agricultural revolution, robust healthcare, youth empowerment, and technological advancement.
Addressing the workforce, the APC deputy candidate promised a government built on inclusivity and the welfare of workers.
He also pledged the reintroduction and reintegration of a fresh workforce into the state’s civil service.

He emphasized that their administration would be defined by non-cosmetic governance, insisting that every policy would have a tangible impact on the lives of the people.
On agriculture, Engr. Adereti detailed a multi-pronged approach that includes provision of inputs, full-scale mechanization, extensive training for farmers, and accessible funding.
He also highlighted plans for robust healthcare delivery and a strong focus on youth empowerment, alongside technology training, empowerment, and opportunities, as well as sports development.
Addressing his nomination, Engr. Adereti, a project management expert, said his selection was complementary but underscored his extensive track record.
He noted that his Ife heritage is an advantage that will shine off the governorship candidate, whom he described as a financial management professional who has traversed the globe.
He spotlighted the candidate’s record at Lameco NNPC and the construction of the Osun Investment Commission Secretariat, which he built as Chairman of OOSICOM.
Engr. Adereti drew a sharp contrast between himself and the Accord Party Deputy Governorship Candidate, Prince Kola Adewusi, who also hails from Ife.
He claimed that while his opponent is known in Ife as ‘Kose’se’, meaning nothing is working, he is known as ‘Otise’se’, meaning it is now working. “My pedigree will bring advantage. The people of Ife describe him as ‘Kose’se’ because nothing is working, but I am known as ‘Otise’se’ because it is now working,” he stated.
He assured that the combination of his project management expertise and the financial management acumen of the governorship candidate would deliver a transformative government for the state.
