NETWORK FOR POSITIVE CHANGE COMMENDS PRESIDENT TINUBU OVER TENURE EXTENSION FOR CUSTOMS CG

The Network for Positive Change has commended President Bola Tinubu for extending the tenure of Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Wale Adeniyi, citing his outstanding service and achievements. In a statement signed by Prince Mike Ekamon, the group described the decision as a reflection of the President’s confidence in Adeniyi’s leadership and the progress made under his watch.

Prince Mike Ekamon said that under Adeniyi’s leadership, the Nigeria Customs Service has recorded significant milestones, including increased revenue generation, improved trade facilitation, enhanced security, and modernization of customs operations. “This decision reflects the President’s confidence in Adeniyi’s leadership and the progress made under his watch,” Ekamon said.

The group noted that Adeniyi has driven the adoption of technology, automating processes and improving service delivery. Ekamon called on Nigerians to support policies and decisions that promote good governance and national development, urging them to disregard the campaign of calumny by those opposing the CG’s tenure extension. “Let’s rally behind initiatives that strengthen our institutions and drive progress,” he said.
