Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration is undeterred by political attacks and false narratives ahead of the 2027 elections, Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Charles Aniagwu, has declared. Speaking in Asaba alongside Chief Press Secretary Sir Festus Ahon, Aniagwu emphasized the government’s commitment to its four-point agenda of peace, security, development, and reforms.

Aniagwu dismissed ongoing campaigns of calumny as attempts to undermine the administration, citing projects across senatorial districts as proof of Oborevwori’s equitable approach. Achievements include keeping schools open during nationwide strikes, massive road construction in riverine and upland areas, and job creation via social investment programs.

“Oborevwori’s style of governance treats every Deltan equally,” Aniagwu stated. “His commitment to fairness, peace, and development is firm and unshaken”. Peace and security are central to the governor’s vision, with warnings that troublemakers face sanctions.

Aniagwu stressed the administration won’t be distracted, continuing projects despite electioneering. “Those behind these campaigns of calumny are attempting to de-market the administration for selfish political gain,” he said, affirming commitment to a peaceful, inclusive, investment-friendly Delta.
