Team Edo Clinches Historic Victory at 2nd Niger Delta Games

Team Edo has secured a landmark victory at the second edition of the Niger Delta Games, reinforcing its dominance in regional sports competition.

State officials described sports as a powerful tool for unity, peace, and development, reaffirming the government’s commitment to building sustainable structures that will sustain Edo’s success at both regional and national levels.

The competition featured over 3,000 athletes from nine Niger Delta states, who competed across 17 sporting events. Sponsored by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), the festival drew widespread praise for its organisation and high level of competitiveness.

With the win, Team Edo not only reclaimed regional glory but also set a new standard of excellence in the Niger Delta sports arena.
