President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to deliver a nationwide broadcast on Friday as part of activities marking Nigeria’s Democracy Day celebration.

According to a statement issued by the Presidency on Thursday, the President’s address will be aired at 7:00 a.m. on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) network.

The State House also directed all television stations across the country to connect to the NTA network for a simultaneous broadcast of the President’s message.

The Democracy Day address is expected to highlight the nation’s democratic journey, ongoing reforms, and key government priorities.

The announcement was made by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement released on June 11, 2026.

Democracy Day is observed annually in Nigeria to commemorate the country’s democratic development and honor the sacrifices made in the struggle for democratic governance.
