PRESIDENT TINUBU EMBARKS ON KEY VISITS TO JAPAN AND BRAZIL

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has departed Abuja on a diplomatic tour of Japan and Brazil, with a brief stopover in Dubai. The President’s visit to Japan will focus on participating in the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9), where leaders will discuss strategies for Africa’s economic growth, enhancing business climates, and fostering peace and stability.

During his time in Japan, Tinubu will engage in bilateral discussions and meet with Japanese investors in Nigeria, highlighting the country’s potential for investment and collaboration. The TICAD9 conference, scheduled for August 20-22, provides a platform for African leaders to explore opportunities for development and partnership with international stakeholders.

Following the conference, President Tinubu will travel to Brasilia, Brazil, for a state visit at the invitation of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. The visit, set for August 24-25, will feature talks between the two leaders, a business forum, and the signing of agreements between Nigeria and Brazil, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and exploring areas of mutual interest.
