The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has reassured party members that the ADC will participate fully in the 2027 general elections, dismissing fears arising from ongoing legal challenges.

Mark gave the assurance on Wednesday night after receiving a briefing from the party’s legal team on a recent ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

According to him, there is no cause for alarm over the litigations involving the party, expressing confidence that the ADC will emerge victorious in court.

“You do not have anything to be afraid of regarding all the litigations before the party. We shall triumph in all the cases and we shall be on the ballot for every election,” he said.

The former Senate President added that the party is fully prepared to pursue all legal options within the ambit of the law to overcome the challenges.

“In this legal battle, though I am not a lawyer, I will lead from the front, and we shall surely triumph,” Mark stated.

He disclosed that the party’s legal team has already initiated an appeal against the judgment and filed for a stay of execution.

The reassurance comes at a critical time for the party as it intensifies preparations for the 2027 polls. Party leaders believe the move will strengthen confidence among members and reinforce the ADC’s readiness to navigate the legal hurdles ahead.

Earlier, the legal team had briefed Mark and other members of the party leadership on the implications of the court ruling and outlined strategies for the cases going forward.
