The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed allegations that aspirants are being denied nomination forms for the forthcoming State House of Assembly elections.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, described the claims as false, misleading, and politically motivated.

The party said the allegations were aimed at creating confusion within its ranks and undermining its internal processes.

According to the statement, the APC leadership in Delta State has neither authorised nor condoned the denial of nomination forms to any qualified aspirant.

It explained that the committee in charge of the sale and distribution of forms is fully operational at the party’s state secretariat, attending to all interested aspirants without bias and in line with directives from the party’s National Working Committee.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and internal democracy, stressing that its processes remain orderly and consistent with established guidelines.

It also warned that those behind the allegations were driven by personal ambition rather than the interest of the party.

The APC noted that the spread of such misinformation could undermine unity and confidence among members, adding that it would resist any attempt to manipulate its processes or disrupt preparations for the elections.

The party further disclosed that the sale of nomination forms is ongoing and will continue until May 4, 2026, in accordance with its revised timetable.

Aspirants were urged to disregard the claims and proceed with the purchase and submission of forms within the stipulated period.

Reiterating its commitment to a credible nomination process, the party called on members and the public to rely only on official communications, while ignoring what it described as baseless reports.
