Tragedy as Parent Dies While Waiting at UTME Centre

A tragic incident occurred in Ilara-Mokin, Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, where a woman identified as Oluwasola Victoria Adebayo reportedly collapsed and died while waiting for her daughter writing the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to reports, the woman had accompanied her daughter to the examination centre on Monday. Shortly after arriving, she complained of weakness before suddenly slumping.

Efforts by people at the scene to revive her were unsuccessful, and she was confirmed dead on the spot.

Unfortunately, her daughter was inside the examination hall at the time of the incident and was unaware of what had happened outside.

The spokesperson of the Ondo State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that the family had been contacted and the remains of the deceased released to them.
