The Urhobo Leadership Forum Abuja has elected Peter Igho as its new president to steer the affairs of the association for the next three years.

Igho, who holds the title of Olorogun and is a Member of the Federal Republic (MFR), emerged at the forum’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on April 19, 2026. The organisation described the election as free, fair, transparent, and credible.

At the same meeting, members also elected a 13-member executive committee in accordance with Article 9 of the forum’s constitution.
Chris Agboghoroma was elected vice president, while Robert Itawa emerged as general secretary. Other officials include Ese Unoroh as treasurer, Ekpeme Agbache-Akaneme as financial secretary, and Celina Udueni as welfare officer.

Also elected are Dahosa Eshalomi as public relations officer, Sylvester Egbedi as spokesperson (Otota), and Edafe Mary Ogheneakpobo as assistant general secretary.
The executive is further strengthened by four ex-officio members, including immediate past president Jonathan O. Esin and immediate past secretary Okolosi Paul-Andy, alongside AVM (rtd.) Sonni Gberevbie and Peter Odjoji.
The Urhobo Leadership Forum Abuja is a socio-cultural body comprising Urhobo professionals and leaders residing in the Federal Capital Territory. The newly elected leadership is expected to drive the forum’s programmes, enhance member welfare, and deepen engagement with government institutions and other ethnic groups.
The AGM remains the forum’s highest decision-making platform, convened annually to review its activities and, when necessary, elect new leadership.
