JAYMONI AND NUJ FCT PARTNER TO BOOST NIGERIAN MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

Nigerian rising star Jaymoni, also known as Amb Christopher Ogar, has joined forces with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council to promote the Nigerian music and entertainment industry. The partnership was announced during Jaymoni’s visit to the NUJ FCT Council in Abuja, where he met with the council’s chairman, Comrade Grace Ike, and secretary, Comrade Jide Oyekunle.

Jaymoni, known for his hit song “Congratulations,” expressed his excitement about the collaboration, which aims to support artists across the country. He also congratulated Comrade Ike on becoming the first female chairperson of the NUJ FCT Council in its 41-year history.
The young artist shared news about his upcoming projects, including the release of his second song of the year, “Where The Money Dey (WTMD),” on all streaming platforms on April 11, 2025. Additionally, his Feed The Street Programme will take place in Lagos on the same day.

Comrade Ike praised Jaymoni’s music, community-focused efforts, and entrepreneurial drive, stating, “I’m really happy to see such a young and talented artist like you. There’s a lot we can do together because we share a common energy. Music is life, and we, as journalists, understand the importance of platforms like yours.”
She also commended Jaymoni’s humility, saying, “You’re humble, and that’s important. Popularity can sometimes cause people to lose focus, but I see in you someone who is determined to change the narrative. Your music and efforts to give back to society are truly inspiring, and we at NUJ FCT are excited to partner with you in any way we can.”

The partnership between Jaymoni and NUJ FCT is expected to create exciting opportunities for both the entertainment industry and the media community, highlighting the importance of collaboration and mutual support.
In the context of Nigerian entertainment law, this partnership underscores the significance of intellectual property rights and collective management organizations in promoting artistic creativity and protecting performers’ rights. As the entertainment industry continues to evolve, collaborations like this may play a crucial role in shaping its future.
