BOXER ANTHONY JOSHUA INVOLVED IN FATAL ROAD ACCIDENT ON LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY (+VIDEO)

World-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua was involved in a serious road accident on Monday along the busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Makun, Ogun State. The incident resulted in two fatalities, though the athlete sustained only minor injuries.

Eyewitnesses reported that the accident occurred when a Lexus SUV, bearing the registration number KRD 850 HN and conveying the boxer, collided with a stationary truck. The precise circumstances leading to the crash, which happened just before Danco Filling Station, are still under investigation.

A source who participated in the rescue operation provided details on the aftermath. “Joshua sustained minor injuries and was promptly rescued from the wreckage,” the source disclosed. However, the source confirmed a tragic outcome for others involved, stating, “two persons died on the spot as a result of the crash.”

Emergency responders attended the scene. The investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
