First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Commissions Kogi Treasury House, Backs Financial Transparency
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has commissioned the Kogi State Treasury House in Lokoja, describing the facility as a significant step toward strengthening public financial management and accountability in the state.
The newly inaugurated Treasury House is expected to improve transparency, enhance financial accountability and boost the efficient management of public funds as part of the Kogi State Government’s drive to modernise its financial administration.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the First Lady officially declared the facility open in the presence of senior government officials, political leaders, traditional rulers and other dignitaries.
The Kogi State Government said the Treasury House would enhance the coordination of treasury operations, promote prudent financial management and strengthen institutional capacity in line with global best practices.
According to the government, the project reflects its commitment to improving governance through stronger financial systems and greater accountability in the management of public resources.
The commissioning attracted key stakeholders, who described the project as a major milestone in Kogi State’s development and an important investment in effective public sector administration.
The Treasury House is expected to serve as the central hub for the state’s treasury operations, supporting efficient service delivery and reinforcing fiscal discipline in government.
