Israeli Strikes Kill Two Palestinians, Destroy Medicine Warehouses Near Gaza Hospital

Two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City, while separate Israeli strikes destroyed two warehouses used to store medicines near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, according to Palestinian health officials. The latest attacks come amid continued uncertainty over efforts to secure a ceasefire and disarmament agreement involving Hamas.

According to officials in Gaza, the two fatalities occurred after an airstrike hit the Sheikh Radwan area of Gaza City. Several others were reportedly injured in the attack and taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

In a separate incident earlier in the day, an Israeli airstrike struck warehouses adjacent to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, destroying facilities that Gaza’s Health Ministry said were being used to store medicines and essential medical supplies.

Health authorities said the warehouses contained treatments for patients suffering from chronic illnesses, including kidney disease, at a time when hospitals across Gaza continue to face severe shortages of medicines and medical equipment.

Officials also reported that two additional medicine storage facilities and the hospital’s outpatient clinic sustained damage, although no casualties were immediately reported from the hospital compound.

The Israeli military said the strike in Gaza City targeted Hamas militants but did not immediately provide further details or evidence supporting the claim.

At the time of reporting, the Israeli military had not issued a detailed public statement regarding the strike on the medicine warehouses near Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Palestinian health officials condemned the destruction of the medicine warehouses, warning that the loss of vital medical supplies would further strain Gaza’s already overwhelmed healthcare system.

Witnesses said the airstrike also damaged nearby tents sheltering displaced families, with debris and destroyed medical supplies scattered across the area following the explosions.
