In a condolence letter addressed to the Management and Staff of Arise Television, the LND described the death of the young professional as a blow not only to the organisation but to the nation as a whole.

“The loss of such a vibrant young professional, a young woman, cut down at her prime, is not only a blow to your organisation but to the nation as a whole,” Dr. Umar Ardo, Convener of the League of Northern Democrats, stated in the letter.

The group underscored the tragedy highlights the alarming state of insecurity in Nigeria, where innocent citizens continue to fall victim to violent crimes. “This tragic incident once again underscores the alarming state of insecurity in our country, where innocent Nigerians continue to fall victim to violent crimes,” the letter read.

The LND urged relevant security agencies to act swiftly in bringing perpetrators to justice and called on the Federal Government to heighten efforts in guaranteeing security and fulfilling the responsibility of the state. “We strongly urge the relevant security agencies to act swiftly in fishing out the perpetrators of this heinous crime… and we call upon the Federal Government to heighten its efforts in guaranteeing the safety of Nigerians,” Dr. Ardo wrote.

The organisation extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and Arise Television, praying for fortitude to bear the loss. “Please accept our deepest sympathies. Our prayers are with you, and we hope that God Almighty grants the families of the deceased the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the letter concluded.
