GOD IS LOOKING ON NIGERIA WITH MERCY, SAYS FIRST LADY OLUREMI TINUBU

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reassured Nigerians that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to improving the country and alleviating the hardships faced by citizens. She made this known during an Iftar event held with former first ladies, female National Assembly members, wives of national assembly members, and other dignitaries.
In a statement by her Senior Special Assistant on Media, Busola Kukoyi, the First Lady urged Nigerians to extend kindness to one another, emphasizing that helping one person at a time can significantly reduce the suffering of others. She noted the convergence of Ramadan and Lent this year, describing it as a divine arrangement.
“It is the time of sober reflection for our Muslim brothers and sisters and even the Christian brothers and sisters. They are having the Lent. God had ordained it to be so even at this time in a nation,” Senator Tinubu said. She encouraged the Muslim faithful to uphold the virtues practiced during Ramadan and to continually seek God’s mercy for the nation.
Earlier, the wife of the Vice President, in her welcome remarks, expressed gratitude to the First Lady for hosting the Iftar and called for consistent prayers for the President and the nation. The Vice Chancellor of Azman University, Kano, Professor Fatima Mukhtar, delivered a lecture on the spiritual significance and teachings of Ramadan. The event also featured special prayers for Nigeria, the President, and all citizens.
Kukoyi stated that the First Lady emphasized the importance of unity and compassion during this period. She reiterated that the administration is working tirelessly to ensure a better life for all Nigerians.
The event concluded with prayers for divine intervention and continued progress in the country. Kukoyi further highlighted the First Lady’s call for sustained support and understanding from all Nigerians as the government implements its policies.
