RIVERS POLICE ARREST SUSPECT IN ABDUCTION AND DEFILEMENT CASE

The Rivers State Police Command has announced the arrest of a 23-year-old man, Emmanuel Godwin, for abducting and defiling a 14-year-old girl. Godwin was apprehended on April 2, 2025, at approximately 3:20 am, along the Casablanca Axis, GRA Phase-2, Port Harcourt, while in the company of the minor. In a statement, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, Police Public Relations Officer, revealed that the suspect confessed to abducting the minor and detaining her in a room where three other individuals also engaged in unlawful acts with her for over a week. SP Grace Iringe-Koko said efforts are currently underway to apprehend the suspects who are at large. “The apprehended suspect will be charged to court after investigations,” she stated. The Rivers State Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents, with SP Grace Iringe-Koko assuring that further updates on this case will be communicated in due course. GUNMEN ATTACK NEAR ABACHA BARRACKS BYPASS IN GUZAPE, ABUJA; MULTIPLE SUSPECTED ABDUCTIONS REPORTED

According to sources, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command swiftly responded to reports of the attack and initiated an investigation into the suspected abduction of several individuals. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered two abandoned vehicles—a black Toyota Prado Land Cruiser belonging to Hon. Shagala Samuel and a Honda Civic.
