TRAGEDY STRIKES NSUKKA AS MAN KILLS EX-GIRLFRIEND AHEAD OF HER WEDDING

A young woman, Chisom Ayogu, has been allegedly murdered by her former boyfriend, Ogbonna, popularly known as “Mourinho,” at his residence on New Anglican Road in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. The incident occurred when Chisom visited Ogbonna to inform him about her upcoming wedding, but the visit turned violent after an argument broke out between the former lovers. Neighbors, alarmed by the sounds of distress, rushed to the scene and found Chisom unconscious. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel confirmed her dead on arrival. Ogbonna, a native of Igogoro in Igbo-Eze North LGA, was arrested by the police and is currently in custody for questioning. According to sources, Chisom and Ogbonna hail from the same local government area, with Chisom from Amufie and Ogbonna from Igogoro. The Enugu State Police Command has yet to release an official statement, but sources say an investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. This tragic incident has left residents of Nsukka in shock and mourning, highlighting the need for increased awareness and support for victims of domestic violence. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case, as similar incidents have been reported in other parts of the country.
