OKPE UNION ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVES FOR 95TH YEAR CELEBRATION
The Okpe Union has elected new executives to lead the union for the next term. The elective congress, which was deemed a success, was held on May 15, 2025, at the Okpe Union House in Lagos as part of the union’s 95th year celebration and Annual General Assembly. The newly elected executives are expected to build on the union’s legacy, driving growth and enhancing the lives of its members. The union’s motto, “Unity and Progress,” will guide the new leadership as they work towards a brighter future for the Okpe community. The elected executives include Prof. O. Igho Natufe as President-General, Engr. Francis Ohrien Redemi as 1st Deputy President General, and Barrister Kingsley Ehensiri Akpederin as General Secretary, among others. Francis Ohrien Redemi, 2nd Deputy President General – Mr. Ọkpako Ayaruja, 3rd Deputy President General – Dr. Lucky Akpere, General Secretary – Barrister Kingsley Ehensiri Akpederin, Assistant General Secretary – Ms Patience Ikokoyo, National Organizing Secretary – Mr. Freeborn Adibor, Assistant National Organising Secretary – Mr. Eghele Francis Redemi, National Treasurer – Mrs. Mercy Patrick Ovwile, National Financial Secretary – Arc. Patrick Aghogho Redemi, National Publicity Secretary – Barr Victor Oruno, National Women Coordinator – Madam Grace Erhiurhoro Dinna, National Youth Coordinator – Comrade Mary Omamomor Pender, National Welfare Officer – Mrs. Akpomovine Osolobrughweavwie Ojo-Gabriel, National Traditional Orator – Mr. Pius Egwubare Unuayefe, Assistant National Traditional Orator – Mr. Stephen Aghuniafe, and National Auditor – Mr. Andrew Enite Ogbar. Some positions, including Fourth Deputy President General, National Legal Adviser, Provost, and three Ex Officio NEC Members, were left vacant and will be filled at a later date.
