Former Kano State governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been appointed Board Chairman of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). The announcement was made during the formal inauguration of newly appointed FAAN board members on Wednesday in Abuja.

Ganduje recently resigned as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing health and personal matters. The former APC chair had been at the helm of the party until his resignation last week.

In his new role, Ganduje will oversee the management and operations of FAAN, ensuring the efficient running of Nigeria’s airports. The appointment is seen as a new chapter in Ganduje’s career, following his exit from the APC.
