ODUDUWA DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE COMMENDS NIS CG, PRESIDENT TINUBU’S ECONOMIC AGENDA

The Oduduwa Development Initiative (ODI) has called on Nigerians to support the present civilian administration’s efforts to reposition the nation’s economy, as seen in the Nigeria Immigration Service’s (NIS) improved service delivery under the leadership of Comptroller-General Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap. In a statement, the President of Oduduwa Development Initiative, Amb. Akinyele Olasumbo, commended Mrs. Nandap for being a good ambassador of the Yoruba race, citing her commitment and sacrifices towards rebranding the NIS. “We quite appreciate and understand that the economic blueprint (RENEWED HOPE AGENDA) of the present civilian administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR has intended to change the way we think, conduct, and see ourselves as a people with common dreams, aspirations, and destiny,” Olasumbo said. Olasumbo highlighted the transformative changes initiated by Mrs. Nandap, including the introduction of technology into border control and immigration management through the e-Border Solution Project. This project has enhanced the effectiveness and efficiency of the NIS, assisting in the management and deployment of passenger data and information. The successful completion of the Command and Control Centre at NIS headquarters, the roll-out of Passenger pre-boarding screening solutions (API/PNI), and the development of a robust data management system were also commended by Olasumbo. These initiatives have informed policy decisions and improved the service’s ability to respond to emerging issues and challenges. Furthermore, Olasumbo praised Mrs. Nandap’s commitment to the welfare of NIS staff, ensuring the payment of cumulative backlog benefits and allowances. “The Oduduwa Development Initiative proudly identifies with this amazon from the Oduduwa lineage for her impactful contributions towards President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR’s overall commitment to giving Nigeria a new facelift,” Olasumbo stated. As an organization, the Oduduwa Development Initiative urged Nigerians to support President Tinubu’s economic agenda, which aims to restore macroeconomic stability, enhance the business environment, and foster inclusive growth, employment, and poverty reduction.
