Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision affirming his election as a significant milestone for the state. According to Okpebholo, the ruling validates the people’s mandate expressed during the September 2024 governorship election.

The governor expressed gratitude to the judiciary for upholding justice and thanked the people of Edo State, the All Progressives Congress (APC), his family, and team for their support. Okpebholo emphasized that the era of insecurity and lawlessness in the state is over and pledged to tackle the development challenges facing Edo.

Okpebholo outlined his administration’s focus on results-driven governance, with a five-point development agenda guiding his priorities. He called for unity and healing among Edo citizens, urging them to work together to build a stronger and more prosperous state.

The governor also acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and the Oba of Benin’s support, describing them as crucial to his administration’s success. With the Supreme Court’s ruling, Okpebholo said it’s time to move forward and rebuild Edo State.
