A devastating accident has occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, claiming the lives of six people and injuring four others. The accident happened at around 7:00 am in front of NIPCO Gas Station, opposite Prayer City, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry headquarters.

According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the crash involved three vehicles, including two tankers and a commercial transport bus. A total of 15 people were involved in the incident, with 13 males and 2 females.

The FRSC’s RS2HQ Special Intervention Patrol team responded quickly to the scene, evacuating the injured victims to nearby hospitals and depositing the corpses of the deceased at Idera Hospital Morgue in Sagamu, Ogun State.

The probable causes of the accident have been identified as speed violation and loss of concentration. The FRSC has urged motorists to adhere to speed limits and maintain proper vehicle condition to avoid road tragedies.

“We deeply regret the loss of lives and urge motorists to adhere strictly to speed limits, avoid reckless driving, and maintain proper vehicle condition to avoid road tragedies,” said Corps Commander Kehinde G. Hamzat, FRSC Lagos Sector Commander.
