DOOR-2-DOOR MOVEMENT HITS BACK AT CRITICS, DISMISSES PLANTAIN CHIPS CAMPAIGN CLAIMS

The Door-2-Door movement, a grassroots political group founded by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, has denied allegations that it is using plantain chips as part of its outreach strategy to mobilize Nigerians for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. According to Comrade Sunday Adekanbi Asuku, the Acting National Coordinator of Door-2-Door, the claims are “erroneous, frivolous, and malicious.” He described the movement as a serious and principled organization focused on amplifying the transformative achievements of President Tinubu. “The purveyors of this inanity have launched a smear campaign associating the Door-2-Door movement with frivolous activities such as frying and sharing plantain chips as part of our campaign strategy. We are not a part of such nonsense,” Asuku stated. Asuku emphasized that the movement’s mission and vision were clearly articulated during the 24th Democracy Day celebrations in Abuja, where they publicly reaffirmed their commitment to a focused, issue-driven campaign. “Our goal is to communicate a compelling, truthful narrative of progress and development, directly to the people, ward by ward, door by door,” he said. The Door-2-Door movement is built on a robust vision of nation-building, grounded in grassroots engagement and focused on amplifying the transformative achievements of President Tinubu. The movement’s campaign is rooted in critical national issues, including security, economic revitalization, education reform, infrastructure development, and social welfare. Asuku condemned the role of SaharaReporters in amplifying the baseless claims, describing their involvement as “propaganda” rather than journalism. “Their unprofessional conduct, penchant for sensationalism, and consistent bias have only served to erode public trust,” he said. The movement has announced plans to unveil a series of humanitarian and landmark projects aimed at celebrating the achievements of President Tinubu while providing meaningful support to Nigerians across various communities. “These projects are not gimmicks—they are a reflection of our dedication to service, transformation, and impact,” Asuku assured. Door-2-Door remains committed to building a stronger, united, and prosperous Nigeria, one door at a time. The movement’s leadership, under High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, embodies resilience, credibility, and grassroots integrity, inspiring confidence among supporters and deterring attempts to intimidate or distract.
