PRESIDENT TINUBU ARRIVES LAGOS FOR WORKING VISIT AHEAD OF NIGERIA’S INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Lagos on a working visit as Nigeria prepares to mark its 65th Independence Anniversary in a low-key manner. The President’s trip to Lagos follows his attendance at the coronation of His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), said in a statement.

Bayo Onanuga indicated the President will meet with Nigeria’s private sector players and senior government officials during his Lagos stay. Plans also have President Tinubu commissioning the remodelled National Theatre in Lagos, now renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts, as part of Independence anniversary activities.

The President is scheduled to visit Imo State on Tuesday, September 30, where he will commission projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma. Bayo Onanuga noted these engagements underscore President Tinubu’s ongoing governmental activities. Bayo Onanuga highlighted the significance of the President’s engagements amid Nigeria’s Independence commemorations.
