Wolimoh Olajide stated that the forum thanked the minister for his interventions, mediations, and insistence on ensuring that the word “Faction” is no longer associated with the forum. The forum membership, which cuts across 19 political parties, has pledged its commitment to supporting the minister in achieving an excellent outing during the National Youth Conference and furthering the minister’s records of performance, monitoring, and delivery to the youth of Nigeria. Olajide stated that the youth leaders agreed to mobilize the youth of their respective political parties and constituencies to participate in the confab nationwide. Wolimoh Olajide further stated that the minister commended the recently launched Youth Activities Dashboard (YAD) initiative and enjoined the forum to work closely with the ministry to actualize federal government opportunities and private initiatives aimed at funding programs for youth empowerment and job creation nationwide. The minister also agreed to mainstream the activities of the forum with the activities of the ministry of Youth Development for greater impact in service delivery, budgetary implementation, youth mobilization, empowerment programs, and federal board appointments consideration. The minister emphasized the importance of his “Country First & Worker Together” mantra, which is beyond political party consideration and affiliation, to building an egalitarian society using the office of the Minister of Youth Development as the “Driving Force.” Wolimoh Olajide stated that the minister insisted that national youth leaders must now know that they have the Minister of Youth Development with them 100%.
