OMISORE TEARS THE VEIL OFF OYETOLA’S INEPTITUDE ON NATIONAL TELEVISION

By: Pelumi Olajengbesi, Esq. The just concluded interview granted by Senator Iyiola Omisore on ARISE TV has finally torn the veil off the deep seated crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State. This was not an ordinary political conversation, it was a missile fired straight at the heart of the party’s internal contradictions. In less than ten minutes, Omisore delivered what can only be described as a political autopsy of a party struggling to survive ego wars, leadership failures, and structural decay. Omisore spoke with uncommon boldness and clarity. He said what many had whispered for years. The stark political reality he exposed is that the leadership crisis within the Osun APC did not begin yesterday, and it did not happen by accident. For the first time, a principal stakeholder openly confronted the legacy of former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, bringing to public light the quiet implosion within the party. He exposed the resentment, the alienation of key blocs, and the culture of exclusion that mistook silence for loyalty and fear for unity. It is a fact that Oyetola is not popular in Osun State and has no credibility to win an election. Omisore interview made it more sense when he revealed that after Oyetola lost the 2022 Osun governorship election to Adeleke, the party conducted a post-election assessment, and that the findings were clear: the loss was largely attributed to Oyetola’s ineptitude and structural failures within the party. He now warned against attempts to recycle rejected political tendencies through imposed candidates to create a form of continuity for Oyetola, insisting that such a move would not stand the test of democratic legitimacy. Omisore’s interview should not be dismissed as mere political drama. It should be understood as a serious warning, and perhaps the last opportunity for the APC in Osun State before the full weight of the storm. The storm is no longer coming. It is here.
